Impersonation & WhatsApp/Social Media Scams

We’ve been made aware of fraudulent groups on WhatsApp using our name “AlphaWealth” to promote “investment packages” with guaranteed returns (e.g. R1500 → R3800 in two days).

These groups are not affiliated with AlphaWealth in any way.

How to Spot the Scam

  • Unsolicited WhatsApp/Telegram/Social Media group adds
  • Promises of “guaranteed” high returns in a given number of days/time
  • Requests for upfront payments or deposits to personal accounts
  • Pressure to keep communications on chat apps and avoid official channels
  • Use of our logo, website link, or staff names to appear legitimate

What AlphaWealth will never do

  • We do not offer “packages” or guaranteed returns
  • We do not run investment groups on WhatsApp/Telegram/Social Media
  • We will never ask you to send money to personal accounts
  • We won’t pressure you to act immediately or keep discussions off-record

What to do if Contacted

  • Do not send money or share personal/financial information
  • Take screenshots and note phone numbers/group names
  • Report it to fraud@alphawealth.co.za
  • Verify any communication by calling our official number on our Contact page
  • Report the number/group in WhatsApp and to your mobile provider
