Impersonation & WhatsApp/Social Media Scams
We’ve been made aware of fraudulent groups on WhatsApp using our name “AlphaWealth” to promote “investment packages” with guaranteed returns (e.g. R1500 → R3800 in two days).
These groups are not affiliated with AlphaWealth in any way.
How to Spot the Scam
- Unsolicited WhatsApp/Telegram/Social Media group adds
- Promises of “guaranteed” high returns in a given number of days/time
- Requests for upfront payments or deposits to personal accounts
- Pressure to keep communications on chat apps and avoid official channels
- Use of our logo, website link, or staff names to appear legitimate
What AlphaWealth will never do
- We do not offer “packages” or guaranteed returns
- We do not run investment groups on WhatsApp/Telegram/Social Media
- We will never ask you to send money to personal accounts
- We won’t pressure you to act immediately or keep discussions off-record
What to do if Contacted
- Do not send money or share personal/financial information
- Take screenshots and note phone numbers/group names
- Report it to fraud@alphawealth.co.za
- Verify any communication by calling our official number on our Contact page
- Report the number/group in WhatsApp and to your mobile provider
